Hotel Dorset Negombo, Negombo

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Dorset. The rooms were all lovely and clean, but the noise from fans right outside the window was quite loud. The hotel staff were really nice and made me feel at home with their helpful and friendly attitudes. The location was excellent, very close to the beautiful beach and city center. The dining experience was tasty, even though the breakfast came in a hermetically sealed box that looked like every other hotel's. The facilities were good, but there were a few hiccups here and there.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to both the city center and the beach with welcoming hosts. The rooms are new, fresh, and air-conditioned, though the apartment may need some improvement. The service is kind, helpful, and they even organized a great boat trip. The dining experience, while modest, was nice, and they offered a take-away breakfast. The facilities are well-maintained, providing a satisfactory stay overall.

The hotel is in a prime location, extremely close to the beautiful beach and city center. The rooms are spotless and pleasant, but lacking AC may be a drawback. The service is warm and accommodating, despite language barriers. Dining options are satisfying but could be more varied. The neighboring aircon unit noise can be bothersome at times.

The hotel offers two connecting rooms with a balcony and two bathrooms at a good price of approximately $22 AUD per person, making it excellent for our needs. The rooms were uncomfy and unprepossessing but served their purpose. The breakfast was modest by Sri Lankan standards.
